11SIX24 Alpha Pro Power Review: A Paddle Worth the Upgrade?
If you've been eyeing the newest release from 11SIX24, you’re probably wondering:
Is the Alpha Pro Power just a slight tweak... or a real upgrade?
As someone who actually bought this paddle with my own money early through their ambassador pre-release, I’ve spent serious time putting it through its paces—both as a standalone paddle and compared to its predecessor, the Power Series.
Let’s break it down.
⚙️ Alpha Pro Power – The Key Specs
Before we get into how it feels, here’s what you need to know about the build:
Core: 16mm Gen 3 with 10mm black polypropylene cells
Layup: FCC (Fiberglass base layer + Carbon Fiber top layers)
Shape: This review focuses on the Vapor (hybrid) shape but it’s also available in the Pegasus (standard) and Hurache-x (elongated)
Static Weight: 8.05 oz
Swing Weight: 114.7
Twist Weight: 6.9
Price: $199 retail ($189 with code PickleballBlast)
Warranty: 1-year warranty
It’s also available in the Pegasus (standard shape) and Hurache-X (elongated), but I focused on the Vapor version for testing.
🎾 On-Court Performance: Power Meets Control
The Alpha Pro Power is unmistakably a power paddle—and it delivers.
Right away, I felt that trademark 11six24 pop that we’ve come to know from their power series on drives and compact swings. But what really stood out was the paddle’s feel on softer shots. The FCC layup, with fiberglass moved underneath the carbon fiber, creates slightly more dwell time and gives you better control and shape without sacrificing much if any explosiveness.
It’s powerful, yes—but refined. You can be aggressive and still stay in control.
🔁 Alpha Pro Power vs. Power Series: Is It Different Enough?
Let’s talk real-world comparison.
I stacked the Alpha Pro Power up directly against my Vapor Power Series paddle—same shape, same playstyle—and the results were surprisingly close.
Here’s what I found:
Serve Speeds: Nearly identical
Punch Volleys: Within 1 mph
Stat Line: Basically mirrored
So what’s the real difference?
💡 Feel.
The Power Series has slightly more raw pop, while the Alpha Pro Power trades a touch of that for better touch, feel, and pocketing—especially noticeable in resets, dinks, and shaped shots.
💸 Price & Warranty: Worth the Jump?
The Alpha Pro Power is priced at $199 before code, which is $30 more than the Power Series.
But you’re also getting a 1-year warranty instead of 6 months.
You can also use code PickleballBlast to save $10 and bring it down to $189.
Is that worth it? Let’s answer it two ways:
🤔 Should You Buy the Alpha Pro Power?
✅ If you don’t own a Power Series:
This is a fantastic paddle. Great power, solid stability, impressive feel in the soft game, and overall just fun to play with. It’s an uptick in price and is approaching a weird spot pricing wise but it competes well in its tier, especially given how crowded the Gen 3 paddle space has become in 2025.
🤷♂️ If you already own the Power Series:
Don’t expect a massive upgrade.
This feels more like a variation within the same family than a totally new direction. If your paddle is worn down or you want something slightly more forgiving, the Alpha Pro Power is a strong option.
But if you’re just chasing the next best thing? You might not need to rush into this one.
🔚 Final Verdict
The Alpha Pro Power is another solid release from 11SIX24.
It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a smart refinement—taking the core identity of the Power Series and giving it a little more finesse.
Whether you want raw pop or a more complete feel, you’ve now got options.
