CRBN Trufoam Waves Pickleball Paddle – First Look & Release Dates

The wait is almost over! CRBN has officially announced the Trufoam Waves, the latest addition to their full foam core Trufoam lineup. After months of speculation, we now have the first details on what CRBN is calling their power-focused paddle.

What is the CRBN Trufoam Waves?

The Trufoam Waves is the newest iteration of CRBN’s full foam core paddles, following the groundbreaking release of the Trufoam Genesis in early 2025. While the Genesis made waves (pun intended) as the first full foam core paddle on the market, the new Waves series takes a slightly different direction.

According to CRBN, the Waves paddles are designed to deliver more power, while still maintaining the signature Trufoam feel that players have come to love — a connected, pocketing response that offers both control and consistency.

The Waves lineup will be available in all four CRBN shapes:

  • Waves 1 – Elongated long-handle shape

  • Waves 2 – Standard shape

  • Waves 3 – A signature CRBN shape, similar to the 1 but with a short handle

  • Waves 4 – The true hybrid, and quickly becoming a fan favorite

Performance Insights

CRBN confirmed that the Waves have already passed PBCOR testing at the maximum allowable range. That often translates into a paddle with strong power potential, although actual on-court results will vary depending on your style of play.

While the finer details like swing weight, twist weight, and internal construction remain under embargo until September 22nd, early indications point to the Waves being another solid paddle from CRBN Pickleball.

Final Thoughts

As someone who has played the Trufoam Genesis extensively, I’m excited to get time on the new Waves paddles. If CRBN has truly managed to deliver a paddle that blends more power with the feel and durability of the Trufoam core, this could become one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Stay tuned — I’ll be posting a full review as soon as the embargo lifts on September 22nd. Until then, keep your eyes on those preorder windows if you want to be among the first to test out the CRBN Trufoam Waves.
